Zurka Team Helps NRL Earn “Excellent” CCRI Score

On June 21st, the Center for Computational Science at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) earned an “Excellent” score on the Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) with key support of our on-site Zurka team. Since 2002, Zurka staff members have provided NRL with web development and more recently IT infrastructure and support expertise. Despite our long-lasting partnership with the lab, this was the first CCRI that Zurka had been involved in, and we delivered with flying colors.

To ensure a consistent and adequate level of security, government organizations that handle information technology must demonstrate and maintain compliance with a large and growing number of regulations, directives and standards. To verify that U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) agencies and related websites comply with these evolving standards, the Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) has begun conducting the CCRI. In the months leading up to the inspection, the Zurka team work diligently with NRL staff to ensure that their department was up to par. Zurka staff members went above and beyond and helped the Center for Computational Science under the Information Technology Division an “Excellent” rank. This is just one example showcasing the work ethic and quality we exemplify at Zurka.
