We’re excited to announce the launch of the EMpower website for American Fuel & Petroleum Manufacturers (AFPM). As a leading national trade association, AFPM members comprise virtually all U.S. refining and petrochemical manufacturing industries. AFPM’s members convert oil and natural gas into the gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and petrochemicals that power our modern way of life. Members of AFPM come from industries that support over three million U.S. jobs and add nearly $600 billion each year to the U.S. economy. Not only do they make modern life possible for U.S. citizens, but they also make it attainable.

The Women's Ice Hockey Club at the University of Virginia (UVA) is a club sport team comprised of about 15 students who love ice hockey and competing in the Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference. Since it is a club and does not classify as a varsity sport, the team is eligible to receive limited funding from UVA. Members rely on donations and fundraisers to help support the team’s activities. Expenses for the team include transportation, room, and board fees for away games and tournaments; jerseys and other team equipment; the cost of ice time; and referee fees.
Zurka Interactive had the honor of giving back to the PHP community this year by hosting the After-Party for the wonderful PHP World Zurka Interactive 2017 Conference back in November! The informative conference showcased excellent guest speakers and enabled us to connect with people from all over. We hope to continue hosting this fabulous event in the years to come!
The holidays are underway and Zurka participated in the Ugly Sweater Chili Cookoff this year! Our office participated again with the fabulous people from 1Spatial and Upskill for the special occasion. We enjoyed delicious chili and cornbread, with the BAMA Chili as the winner!! Thanks to our stylish Bryan Wilson representing our office, we won the Ugly Sweater award!!
This year Zurka Interactive celebrated Halloween with a bang! Our office participated with the wonderful people from 1Spatial and Upskill in a costume potluck party. We enjoyed delicious food and mingling with the other people at ZWHQ and we are looking forward to the Ugly Sweater Holiday Chili Cookoff soon!
Zurka is proud to announce the launch of the Studio Auroras website. The site is an exposition of and memorial to the work of the artist Ariane Hafizi. It displays more than 100 of her works including drawings, paintings, murals and prints. Developed by Zurka, the design is based on unfinished mockups created by Hafizi herself.
Congratulations to the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) for winning an ASAE Gold Circle Award for convention marketing. Gavilan and Associates worked with SSH on the entire campaign. Having worked with Gavilan in the past, we’re not the least bit surprised at this impressive success.
We’re proud to say that Zurka was involved too. Gavilan brought Zurka in to help with the creation of the IMSH 2017 website.
What is sometimes referred to as Zurka World Headquarters (ZWHQ) or Zurka Tower (ZT) has now moved from the town of Vienna to the Tysons Corner area. Our new office better accommodates our growing team and is within walking distance of the silver line metro stop Spring Hill Metro. For the building's owner and developer, MRP Realty, it represents a new concept where 10 suites on two floors share common amenities such as conference rooms, lounge areas and cold brew coffee. Additionally, MRP hosts various speakers and events to bring tenants from different companies together and to also foster a sense of community within the space.
Zurka Interactive is currently a prime contractor for Seaport-e on the National Capital Zone (2). We're excited to be able to support customers through this contract vehicle.
In 2002, the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) promulgated Seapower 21, a framework for aligning, organizing and integrating the U.S. Navy to meet the wide variety of challenges that lay ahead. The CNO called upon the entire Navy to find ways to become more efficient and effective. To meet Seapower 21 objectives and to increase efficiency, the NAVSEA Warfare Centers established the Seaport Enhanced (Seaport-e) Multiple Award Contract (MAC) vehicle, using a web-based, e-business procurement portal to facilitate performance-based service acquisition, leverage buying power, improve business intelligence and reduce cycle time.
