Guest Services Inc., a large food-service provider, operates restaurants, cafeterias and resorts. Many of these locations serve government organizations. The Special Orders Deli, is located in the U.S. House of Representatives, Rayburn Office Building. With almost every customer on-line, Guest Services thought this an ideal candidate for Internet food ordering.

Working with great2go.com, Zurka created an e-commerce web site where orders placed on-line are transmitted to a small kitchen printer in the food preparation area of the restaurant. The manager of Special Orders Deli has a "back office" application that allows him to update the menu as needed. The software tracks order history, check average, and even remembers what the customer ordered at his/her last visit.

The web site accounts for 10% of the lunch business and the average check is typically a third higher than walk-in customers. Guest Services has been so pleased that they continue to have us create web sites for more and more of their units.
